“UDS taught me to be resilient, dynamic and result oriented. The third trimester programme taught me to be humble and adaptable in all spheres of life. It opened my eyes to appreciate rural problems, potentials, strengths and its weaknesses as well. The rich combination of all these experiences has made me versatile in creating business solutions in my area of operation. Being an Alumna of UDS is something I pride myself with because every developer carries something that is unique and uncommon. LONG LIVE UDS, long live the BAOBAB FAMILY”

She has been farming for 7 solid years now. She employed a total of 10 full time workers and 5 part-time workers and still counting. The farm, she believes is steadily improving and still exploiting it further to achieve more. The experiences from AGA also make her farming journey unique and rich.

Her farm over the years received several interns from institutions such as Jubaili Agrotec Ltd, CAMFED Ghana etc. and individuals who needed practical hands-on knowledge in poultry. She is currently a Gstep Mentor helping young pupils in STEM. Edfers poultry Care solution (dubbed the COOP), a consultancy on the other hand also offers professional advice and insights to all old and new farmers who knock on their door.

In 2020, she won the third place in biodiversity backyard challenge organised by the wildlife Ghana in collaboration with united Nations and other stakeholders. This award gave birth to new ideas in the horticulture space. She began to turn part of her land space into cultivating vegetables especially habanero pepper.

She was also a nominee in the 2021 women in Agribusiness award scheme organised by Kuzakuza and GIZ Ghana and made her way to the finals in the COVID 19 resilient category.

In 2021, she was privilege to be enrolled on the project organised by Holland Greentech ,Delft University of Technology (TuDelft ) Netherlands, and Archipelago dubbed horticulture for a brighter future. Her commitment as a Lead farmer earned her the visit of the Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana on her farm. This project is climate smart and it ensures productivity all year round contributing to food security.
