He has over seventeen (17) years cumulative experience in legal practice, strategy development, business development, research, teaching, sales and marketing. Limann is the founder and the current Managing Solicitor or Head of Chamber of LIMO@LAW.

Limann attended the University for Developmental Studies (UDS) from 2000 to 2004 where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Technology (Agricultural Economics and Extension Communication option). He further obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the Wisconsin International University College – Ghana, an International Diploma in Business Management and Administration from the Cambridge International College (CIC) – United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Telecoms and Business Studies from the Commonwealth Telecom Organization (CTO) – United Kingdom. He has attended several Professional Trainings in the areas of sales, marketing, strategic management, business development & management, arbitration, law and many other areas within and outside the jurisdiction of the Republic of Ghana.

Upon his graduation from UDS, Limann undertook his national service with the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (“Commission”) where he worked with the then Socio-Economist at the Biotechnology and Nuclear Agriculture Research Institute (“BNARI”) at a period the Commission had commenced the commercialization of its operations. Limann began his professional work life as a Sales Executive with the now defunct Kasapa Telecom which later rebranded as Expresso Telecom. He was later appointed the first and youngest Corporate Sales Manager in the same company where he established a vibrant corporate sales unit which became the cash cow of the business.

Limann later joined Vodafone Ghana as an Account Manager and was subsequently promoted as a Corporate Sales Manager with some responsibilities in Strategy Development, Business Development and Key Account Management largely focusing on Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-Public Sector or Government (B2P or G) transactions. He later joined Tigo Ghana as the Head of Corporate Sales and subsequently acted as Chief Business Officer prior to his exit from the telecommunication industry in February, 2018.

Limann commenced his legal education where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Law School whilst actively working at Vodafone Ghana and later at Tigo Ghana. He was later enrolled in the Ghana School of Law where he was called to the Ghana Bar to practice as a trained Lawyer. Limann undertook his legal internship with the Court of Appeal and subsequently pursued his pupilage with the prestigious KULENDI@LAW where he worked thereafter until his exit from the firm in February, 2021. Limann is the founder and current Managing Solicitor or Head of Chamber of LIMO@LAW, a client-centric and solutions-oriented law firm which provides ethical and innovative legal and business solutions to individuals and businesses. Limann also provides legal counsel to the UDS Alumni Association.

Limann has also served as an adjunct Lecturer of the Ghana Technology University College now Ghana Communication Technology University and the Accra Institute of Technology where he taught Business Law, Contract Law, Commercial Law, Service Marketing, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, Business & Organizational Behaviour and International Marketing.

First degree as they often say is expected to stimulate intellectual growth and create career awareness options for those largely beginning life. The UDS offered Limann the opportunity to stimulate his intellectual growth and position him for the various career options which came to his knowledge.

The UDS is a unique university with the primary mission to promote equitable and socio-economic transformation of communities through practically oriented, community based, problem solving, gender sensitive and interactive research, teaching, learning and outreach activities.

The exceptional nature of the UDS is deeply rooted in its Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (“TTFPP”) which is a pro poor strategy geared at achieving the enviable mission of the University. During the TTFPP, the whole of the third trimester is devoted to practical field work in the local communities where students live and interact with people with the view of identifying their problems, analyzing and providing solutions. The TTFPPP equips students with mainly the most practical approach to problem analysis, diagnosis and resolution techniques.

Undoubtedly, this inimitable training under the TTFPP which Limann received from the UDS has inculcated the principal skills of adaptability, efficient problem analysis and diagnosis, effective problem resolution, focus and detail-orientation.

One Maria Montessori once stated: “only practical work and experience lead the young to maturity”. Therefore, there is no gainsaying that Limann’s fruitful switches from the fields of Agriculture Technology to Sales and Marketing and finally to the legal profession, are undoubtedly and considerably influenced by this training at the UDS.

Great mandate, great impact UDS.
