“UDS exposed me to practically oriented methodologies of teaching and learning, research and outreach services. My training in such a unique university made me appreciate the universities mandate of blending the academic world with that of the community in order to provide constructive interaction between the two for the total development of Northern Ghana in particular and the country as a whole. By this approach, I gained a lot of exposure to real life situations/health challenges as well a solid foundation to respond to challenges of today especially in the area of maternal and child health and nutrition”

He has the development of the country at heart and hence returned home always to contribute to the development agenda. Through hard work, he was later appointed as the District Director of Health Service (DDHS) in 2018, a position he still holds until now.
