The Dean of School of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Vida N. Yakong delivered a speech expressing her gratitude to the community for the turn out during the exercise and to UBC for their enduring partnership.

The relationship between UDS and UBC began in 2000, when UBC played a major role in the establishment of the UDS Nursing program. The cooperation has since grown to encompass student and staff exchange programs.
