The UDS Endowment Fund (UDSEF) on Wednesday November 21, 2023 received a cheque of GHc20,000.00 from the Alumni Association of the University for Development Studies (UDS).
The gesture was made in response to the Association’s request for assistance from the UDSEF Board of Trustees.

Founded on April 30, 2022, the UDSEF aims to provide additional financial resources to support the university’s goals, including scholarships, bursaries, tuition waivers, research grants, and facilities improvement. This financial support is crucial in enhancing the overall quality of teaching and learning at the University.

The President of the Alumni Association, Prof. Terry Ansah reiterated the commitment of the Association to continuously support the fund and any other priority projects at UDS.

On behalf of management, the Registrar, Mr Nurudeen I. Abubakar, accepted the cheque and expressed his gratitude to the Alumni Association for its outstanding support of the Endowment Fund and other UDS initiatives. He urged the Alumni to continue to support the University’s Management in its mission to make UDS a world-class university.

Executives from the Alumni Association were in attendance at the occasion, including Mr. Eugene Tibirum, the Financial Secretary, and Prof. Frederick Adzitey, the Deputy Financial Secretary. Others were the Secretary to the UDSEF Fund, Mr. Abdul Rahman Alhassan, and the Head of the Alumni Relations Office of the Public Affairs Directorate, Mr. Tahiru Abdulai Alhassan.
