The Third Trimester Field Practical Program (TTFPP) was the game changer that sparked my interest and passion of using available community resources to address societal challenges. It was then that the interest of creating solutions to social challenges awoke in me and has been with him till date.

Born on 13th June 1980, to the late Nancy Adae and Mr Linus Murphy Tsatsu, Julius spent the early days of his life in Ho where he obtained his Basic Education Certificate from Methodist ‘B’ Quarters ‘A’ J.S.S in the year 1994. He gained admission into Tsito Senior High Technical where he offered Agriculture Science and successfully completed his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination in December 1997.

He proceeded to pursue a three year Post-Secondary Teachers Certificate ‘A’ at the St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe. In FRANCO, He developed a lot of interest in arts and culture and joined the Drama Club and Creative Writers & Debaters Club. He became a great playwright, a debater, actor and director of most of the club’s drama shows acted on campus and other institutions in the Volta Region. He also unearthed a lot of leadership skills that made him handle the following positions of responsibility in the college:

Drama Club President

House Prefect, St Thomas Moore House

Member, SRC Constitution review Committee

Upon Completion, Julius was posted to St. Cecilia School Complex, Ho in 2001 where he taught for two years. He gained admission into the University for Development Studies to offer BSc. Agriculture Technology. After 4 years of great experience and hardwork, Julius completed with Second Class Upper Honors division with Animal Science Option. Julius discovered a greater leadership and community development opportunities as a result of the enormous exposure the University for Development Studies subjected him to. The Third Trimester Field Practical Program (TTFPP) was the game changer that sparked in him the interest and passion of using available community resources to address societal challenges. It was then that the interest of creating solutions to social challenges awoke in him and has been with him till date. Also in UDS, Julius developed very great leadership feats culminating into he handling the following sensitive positions:

-JCR Audit committee member, Hall Three, Nyankpala Campus (2004/2005)

-President, Ghana National Association of Teachers on Campus, Nyankpala Campus. (2005/06)

-Central President, Students Representative Council, UDS (2006/07)

-Member, University Governing Council, UDS (2006/07)

-Chairman, General Assembly of UDS (2006/07)

Upon Completion of UDS in 2007, Julius served the nation as a professional teacher and also a national service person in the Ghana Education Service, Ga West Municipal Education directorate from September, 2007 to September, 2009.

With the great community development experiences he was exposed to, Julius decided to explore more on how he could contribute to the numerous challenges facing communities around him. He therefore took an offer with World Vision International, Ghana as Sponsorship Coordinator from 1st October, 2009. He rose through the ranks to become the Area Development Program Manager for Krachi West District.

Julius parted ways with World Vision Ghana in December, 2015 and took a new role in Right To Play International Ghana as Project Team Lead for its Cocoa Life project for 4 years and now responsible for Partners in Play Project in 21 districts in the Greater Accra Region Location. He holds a Masters degree in Commonwealth Executive MBA obtained from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Blending community development skills and business entrepreneurial skills, he has grown into a very great developer taking major challenging initiatives to solve social problems. He is the Founder and Executive Director a Social Enterprise, Community Alliance Foundation (www.cafgh.org ). His major breakthrough as a Social Entrepreneur is the Teckytap brand of Foot Operated Handwashing Devices developed and launched in October, 2019 to address sanitation related illnesses and complications. He is also an agribusiness consultant and a farmer who owns T-Jay Farms located at Dago and Yawgan in the Akwapem South and Nsawam Adoagyiri districts respectively. The farm produces crops like plantain, cassava, maize, vegetables (assorted) and animals like goat, sheep, pigs, rabbits and local chicken.

Julius is also the National President for Tsito Senior High Technical School Old Students Association and also the Chairman of the Board of Governors for the same school in the Volta Region.

As a developer, my quest to explore opportunities to address societal challenges and problems remain my topmost priorities. I believe that my little efforts to solving societal challenges now will avert greater unforeseen societal threats and discomfort. I therefore pledge never to rest until I find a solution to societal challenges
